Plastic-Free Stocking Stuffers Under $20
Somewhere in most stockings there's a new toothbrush. It's practically tradition. This year, make it one that won't sit in a landfill for the next few hundred years.
Here are seven small, useful, plastic-free gifts from $6.49. Every one of them fits in a stocking, and every one gets used daily, which is more than you can say for most of what ends up in there.
1. True North Maple Toothbrush 2-Pack — $11.99
Our flagship. A solid Canadian maple handle, hand-finished in Canada rather than overseas like most eco toothbrushes, with soft BPA-free bristles. The 2-pack comes in minimal packaging that's ready to gift as it is: one for their stocking, one for yours. Want just one? The single is $6.49.
2. Winter Edition Bamboo Toothbrush — $6.49
Our bamboo handle and soft bristles, dressed for the season. The easiest swap on this list, and the one you can buy for everyone on it.
3. Kids Bamboo Toothbrush — $6.49
Kid-sized, with soft BPA-free bristles and a handle tipped in pink, green or white (or left natural). Let them pick their colour. Buying for more than one? The Kids 4-Pack has one of each.
4. Crush & Brush Toothpaste Tablets for Kids — $14.99
Chew a tablet, brush as normal. About 80 tablets in a refillable glass jar, in three vintage soda flavours: Tangerine Dream, Grape Soda and Root Beer Float. Getting kids to brush on Christmas morning just got easier.
5. Biodegradable Dental Floss — $7.99
Fifty metres of corn-based floss with a candelilla wax coating and natural mint, in plastic-free packaging. Small, practical, and the one gift on this list nobody already owns a better version of.
6. Crush & Swish Mouthwash Tablets — $14.99
Mouthwash without the plastic jug. 95 mint tablets in a refillable glass jar: drop one in water, let it dissolve, swish. Light enough for a carry-on.
7. Bamboo Toothbrush Travel Tube — $16.99
For the one who's always packing. It's made from a real bamboo stalk, with small air holes so the brush inside can dry. Pair it with a True North and you've got a proper gift. (Toothbrush not included.)
One bigger gift instead?
